Composer
Raja studied composition at Bard College.  His piece for chamber orchestra, "Boy Fiddles Under a Thousand Rose Legs", had it's world premiere in 2000 by the American Symphony Orchestra.  Since then, he has composed countless pieces for small chamber groups, as well as soundtracks and scores for dozens of burlesque acts, rock operas, puppet shows and theatrical performances.

Musical Director
Raja Azar is the musical director and co-founder of the award winning, nautically themed puppet rock group Jollyship the Whiz-Bang.  

Bandleader
Bandleader of the Bindlestiff Family Cirkus for 4 years, and also for the Bailey Bros. Circus, a touring three-ring tent show.
